I am a college student who just moved out on her own and even though I work 40 hours, I still can’t afford health insurance through my job. Are there any cheap insurances or aide?

I was thinking the other day that such a book would be useful for someone like me who hasn’t had anyone to teach them basic things about leading a “grown-up” life like ,for example, everything you need to know about banks, credit cards, buying a home, a car, paying loans, getting insurance, taxes and the government, buying things, making reservations,etc.
Many insurers offer long term care insurance, but if you purchase the insurance on the private market, you must undergo medical underwriting, and many chronic conditions make you ineligible for coverage.
Some employers offer group long term care insurance, which is available to all employees, but if you don’t work for one of these employers, you’re out of luck.
Does anyone know of any professional organizations, trade groups, etc. that accept members from the general public and offer group long term care insurance?
Any other ideas how to get long term care insurance for someone with a chronic medical condition?

Is Obama Pushing Thru The Health Care Bill So There Isn’t Time For Everyone Voting On It To Read It?
There are some very scary things in this bill. Elderly patients will be evaluated before treatment. Depending on their age & physical condition they may be denied treatment. I think there are no clear guide lines for what insurance coverage will be allowed. There seems to be an underlying agenda that isn’t quite clear. I don’t think people should support it without more facts.
